Greece

Hello everybody!

What's up? Hope everything's fine 😊

I'm back with new ideas! This time I'm going to present you Greece, a country full of breath-taking places. Therefore, I am not able to describe all Greece in one publication. I hope it won't be boring for you and this country will become interesting for you, as well worth to visit. So, let's explore Greece!

Athens

Of course, up first, I have to describe a capital city of Greece. This city is a cradle of European civilisation. There are two prominent symbols - Acropolis and Agora.

Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel situated ona rocky outcrop above Athens. The word acropolis means highest point. Acropolis possesses several ancient buildings. In general, the architecture of this citadel is pulchritudinous and, of course, worth to see. One of the most popular building, which is situated on Acropolis of Athens, is Parthenon. Parthenon is a temple dedicated to goddess Athena, a patron of Athens.

According to Grek mythological figures, I have to mention a Temple of Olympian Zeus. This monument is located at the centre of Athens.

A major theatre in Athens was The Theathre of Dionysus, dedicated to him, of course. Dionysus was the god of plays and wine. It was the first stone theatre in the world. Nowadays, we can see the ruins of this entertainment place.

Agora was a central public space in ancient Greece. The word agora means gathering place or assembly. In this place, Greeks could practice an athletic, art or political life.

The next place I would like to mention is Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, knows as Metropolis. This is a cathedral church of the Arcbishopric of Athens and all Greece.

To stray from the ancient Athens, I would like to say something about contemporary Athens. At first sight Athens seem to be mediterranean but later we can notice a european-oriental character of this city. Athens, nowadays, are famous of best rastaurants, bars, clubs or taverns.

As you can see, Athens are full of noteworthy places. I won't describe all of them because it could be too boring. 😉
In general, Athens are famous of its ancient side, without any doubts. If you are interested in ancient Greece, you have to visit Athens!

I'll continue next time. See ya!

Brazil - part 2

Hello everybody!

What's up?

Today I'll continue my description of Brazil. What do you think about my last publication? I'm waiting for your comments :) So, let's go!

Recife
Recife is called a brazilian Venice because of fifty bridges. Above all, Recife is fameous of beautiful beaches where you can rest, sunbathe, do some water sports or dive. There's one of the most popular beaches in Brazil and in the world - Boa Viagem. The best beaches for diving are Maria Farinha and Porto, a real paradise for divers. The monuments are also worth to see, especially the first Jewish Synagogue - Kahal Zur Izrael.

Boa Viagem

Rio de Janeiro 🎉
A picturesque city in South-East Brazil by The Atlantic Ocean which is very often visited by the tourists. Rio de Janeiro brights amazing beaches and a statue of Jesus Christ on my mind but also an ostentatious carnival! It's a city of contrasts. On the one hand, Rio de Janeiro is modern, but on the other hand there are many poor quarters which we should avoid because they are infamous of crime.

a carnival parade

Fernando de Noronha Reserve
It's an archipelago which consists of 21 islands and volcanic rocks on The Atlantic Ocean. There is a tropical climate and nature-lovers can see there many albatrosses, dolphins or turtles. It's also a perfect place for diving.

Salvador
This city is also called a Black Salvador because it's the most african city in Brazil. The architecture of that place is beautiful and beaches are not as crowded as in Rio de Janeiro. There's also a colonial Old Town which is on UNESCO's World Heritage List.

Iquacu Waterfalls
They are considered as ones of the wonders of the world and they are on UNESCO's World Heritage List. In Brazil there's just a part of them but it's worth to go there and see those very high, numerous and breathtaking waterfalls.

That's all for now. I'm waiting for your impressions. For me, Brazil is worth to see but that country has one disadvantage - it's very far from Poland.

See you next time!

Today I want to describe a next country which is noteworthy for me. This time, It's Brazil, a country situated in South America. Carnival, dance, music, fun - these are my first associations with that place but there is, of course, many other things and places which are worth seeing. Let's start!

Amazonia

It's a region in South America which is situated in Amazon basin drained by the Amazon River. The majority of Amazonia is covered by Amazon Rainforest. This is the largest rainforest in the world with  a 5,500,000km2 area of dense tropical forest. That area is a paradise for a nature-lovers.

Brasilia

Brasilia is a capital city of Brazil. It's a modern city which a blueprint which bird's eye view looks like a flying aeroplane. That's amazing. There is many buildings worth to see, for example, cathedral, parliament or embassy.

Parliament

Diamantina

A city of gold diggers in East Brazil in Serra do Espinhaço mountains. Gold and diamonds were extracted there in the past. There are also many baroque monuments which are on UNESCO's World Heritage list.

Olinda

A city by the Atlantic Ocean in Pernambuco State. When you are there, you have an impression that the time has stopped many years ago... There are many gothic monuments, for example, a San Francisco de Paula Church or a monastery Nossa Senhora de Carmo. An attraction is a picturesque location on hills and beautiful beaches. It's a city for people who look for a calmness and enchanting life. You can also meet there many artists, listen to music and see local dances.

Dubai

Hello everyone!

How are you? I was thinking about my new post. It was dofficult to choose a place to describe for you but I hit on a new idea - Dubai, the capital city of luxury and a city of the future.
Dubai is situated on the United Arab Emirates. As you know, Dubai is famous of wealth, best cars, modern skyscrapers or gold. Two words: modernity and richness, a daydream. And, of course, beautiful architecture, great views and perfect weather. So, let's visit Dubai!

Palm Islands

It's a complex of three the biggest artificial islands on the world. They are in the form of palms. Those islands are destined for tourists and leisure. They look incredible, especially bird's-eye view. Islands exist since 2001.

They are called Palma Jumeriah, The World and The Universe.
On Palma Jumeirah you can find many hotels, houses, luxurious restaurants and many other attractions.

The World consists on 300 small islands which are creating a map of the world visible from the air.

The Universe looks like a Solar System and the Milky Way.

That's incredible, isn't it?

Dubai Mall

The biggest shopping centre on the world. A paradise for all shopaholics. Dubai Mall counts about 1200 shops and also centres of entertainment, coffee houses, restaurants etc. There is also a luxurious hotel witg 250 rooms, many cinemas or a fountain with waterfall... I can't write about it anymore. It is too amazing for me.

That's enough of luxury for today. To be continued next time.
See you!
