Portugal - part 2

Hi!
How are you going? I hope you like my last publication about Portugal because today I prepared a second part for you. So, let's visit Portugal!

Algarve and Faro

This coast is a tourists' paradise and one of the most popular beaches in Europe. A characteristic features are green palm trees, gold sand and turquoise ocean. ☀ There is many wild places and small bays.

Faro is a capital city of Algarve. There is a lot of greenery, small harbour, beautiful lagoon and charming Old Town. At night Faro doesn't sleep because there is many clubs, discos or taverns.

                                         Old Town

Porto

In 2001 Porto was a cultural capital city of Europe. There is a charming Old Town. Very characteristic for Porto is a bridge called Ponte de Dom Luis I. There's also a magical bookshop Lello which is very intriguing. There we can see winting stairs, stained-glass windows and ornaments which were inspiring for J.K. Rowling!

Fatima

It's a place of pilgrimages of christians from all the world. There is a basilica, monuments, many ornamental houses and museums.

Coimbra

It's something like our Krakow. Many years ago it was a capital city and there is the oldest university in all country which counts more than 700 years. You can see there such a beautiful cathedral, Santa Cruz or a monastery Clara-a-Nova. You can visit a botanical garden too.

There is so much more amazing and breathtaking places. I hope I'll go there one day and  I'll see all of those charming cities. For me, Portugal is worth to visit. Do you think the same?

See you next time,

J.
