Greece - part 5

Hello everybody!

How are you?

Today's next and last part of my description of Greece. Hope you're not bored because Greece is full of wonderful places!

Thessaloniki

It's a second-largest city in Greece and a capital city of Macedonia. Architecture and landscapes in Thessaloniki are different than in Athens. In Thessaloniki is a quarter called Kastra, with monuments and alleys which had been built in art deco style. There are also many churches of XV century which are Byzantines monuments.

Peloponnese

It's a peninsula and region in southern Greece.  It is a magical region with wonderful landscapes. There we can find an Arcade - the land of eternal happiness. Peloponnese is a perfect place for calm and relaxing holidays, far from clamour. It's also a good choice for tourists who like sightseeing. We can visit there the most famous archeologically monuments, just like Olympia, Mycenae, Epidauros, Corinth or Mistras. In addition, Peloponnese is an area covered by mediterranean plants, famous of olive, grapevines and citrus fruits cultivation. There are also sandy beaches, crystal clear water, wild mountains and picturesque valleys. Sounds great! :)

Olympia

Mycenae

Corinth

Kos

Kos is one of the most beautiful Greek island which is a part of Dodecanese island. There are picturesque and charming villages, lively and colourful Kos town, wide bays with crystal clear water, white beaches, green hills or fertile valleys. Sunny Kos has a perfect climate which is very mild. It's also a good place for windsurfing (and, of course, other water sports) lovers. I think it's a paradise!

That's all for today and that's all about Greece :) For the next time I've prepared something special!

See you next time!

J.
