Croatia - part 3

Hello everyone!

What's up? Hope you're fine. Today I'll finish a Croatia's description. Hope it's interesting for you :) So, let's go!

Pula

We're back to Istria - on the South side. It's the biggest city on this island, a perfect place for mediaval Old Town lovers. in Pula you can see the most spectacular Roman monuments. Formerly, it was one of the most important metropolis by the Adriatic.
The amphitheatre has survived and today it's a third the best extant monument of its type. A huge building made of marble makes an enormous impression on tourists.

Split

Split is the second biggest city in Croatia. The biggest attraction in Split are ruins of a gigantic imperial palace. The decond noteworthy monument is a characteristic cathedral guerded by sphinx and lions.

Mljet

Mljet is an island situated between Dubrovnik and Korcula. It's one of the most green islands by the Adriatic. This island was announced a National Park.

Paklenica National Park

For most of tourists Croatia - it's just a sea and Dubrovnik. It's also a country with amazing mountains, maybe not very high, but very picturesque. Paklenica with two krast canyons is one of the best places like this which you can see in Croatia.
Velka Paklenica is 14km long and next is a shorter one - Mala Paklenica.
In this National Park we won't find a crowd of tourists. I think it's an advantage of this place, thanks to that it's more unique and worth to see.

Makarska

In the end, Makarska - situated by the sea. There is no Roman or medieval monuments, there is no Old Town. There is so much more tourists who just want to spend time at the beach and sunbathe.
There is the sea and the mountains (called Biokovo) in one place. A perfect place to sit under palm trees or take a walk and relax.

That's all about Croatia. I hope it will be interesting for you. Now I have to think about another place.

See you next time!

J.
