New York - part 3

 Hello again!  😊

What's up? I hope you had a happy Christmas time ;) It was very difficult to find some time to post something new but now, after Christmas, I am ready to continue. 😊 So, let's go!

Grand Central

An amazing railway station, one of the most impressive I think. Mostly, it is the first you will see when you will arrive to New York City. There you can feel like you're participating in some movie. Moreover, on this railway station a lot of movies were recorded. But it's not just a railway station, there is also a shopping centre and it's a perfect place for some meetings.

New York - Roosevelt Island Tram

It's a very untypical tram on Roosevelt Island - a small island on East River. We can get there by "airtram" which is an attraction for tourists as well, biggest than this island, with a great view form the window of this hanging gondola, especially at night.

Wall Street

A very popular business quarter in New York City with impressive skyscrapers. The heart of economic system of all the world. A stock exchange on Wall Street with a giant american flag became one of the most recognisable symbol of New York City. This place is incessantly crowded by tourists and elegant businessmen.

That's all for today. See you next time!

New York - part 2

Hello again!

How are you? Hope you're doing well. Today is a time for New York City's attractions. I think everyone knows most of them, but maybe you will learn something new 😊

Museums of Art

There are a few museum of art, just like Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art or Guggenheim Museum. The first one is the most significant museum in the world, often called "Met". This museum has about 2 millions of exhibits documenting the history, culture and art of all the world. We can admire many works created by Rembrandt, Rafael, van Gogh or Monet. Museum of Modern Art, known as MoMA, is one of the most prestigious collection of modern art. Guggenheim Museum has many works from XX century and, of course, modern art.  The building of this museum is very impressive - it's a work of art designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

High Line

Oasis situated on the west side of Manhattan. This elevated linear public park is an exciting attraction in NYC. There is a variety of plants and trees with glass railings what gives a natural feel. Moreover, there's a great view at the city and Hudson River.

St Patrick's Cathedral

I couldn't miss this cathedral because I really like cathedrals like this one - impressive, high, big, in general - Gothic ones. In New York City it's a great example of Gothic Revival. The building was erected in 1879 and renovated in 2016

This is the end of this part but I will continue next time. Hope it's not boring and maybe you can learn something new about New York!

New York

Hi!

This time I'm writing about the most populous and the greatest city in USA - New York City. A global power city, cultural, financial and media capital of the world, with a significant impact upon entertainment, technology, commerce, education, politics, sports and research. That's a lot of "the most" I think. New York city is also famous of many great places, just like Empire State Building, Central Park, Brooklyn, Rockefeller Center, Metropolitan Museum of Art, High Line, Wall Street or, of course, a Statue of Liberty.

But what is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think "New York"? For me the answer is obvious but it doesn't have to be the same things for everyone. So, New York brings to my mind, first of all, yellow taxis in the crowded street, traffic jams between very modern skyscrapers, people who are always in a hurry, running to work with a cup of coffee in their hand, additionally very well-dressed and stylish. New York brings to my mind also Central Park with people jogging or doing some different sport, as we can see in many movies shooted in New York. I can't forget about billboards which we can see anywhere in New York City, I think, and which gives a lot of light, especially when it comes to Times Square.
What is interesting, at Times Square was the first solar powered billboard which you can see below:

And what New York City brings to your mind up first? I'm waiting for your comments :)

Next time I will describe some of the biggest New York City's attractions 😊

See you soon,

Colorado & Arizona

Hello!

As you see, I will be writing about Colorado&Arizona this time. Colorado has a diverse geography - mountains, plains, deserts with big sand dunes and deep canyons. Because of that, the climate in more complex it this state. I think it is a perfect place for nature lovers ;) Sometimes  the earthquake occurs there because of its mountainous terrain.

Arizona has an upland terrain and in north part of is a Colorado Plateau the climate in Arizona is dry, tropical and subtropical.. The temperatures are very high. The desert steppes with cactuses  are creating a plant life.

One of the biggest tourist attraction in Arizona is, of course, The Grand Canyon. It's a steep-sided canyon by the Colorado River in Arizona. The Grand Canyon is 446 km long and 29 km wide. This terrain is a Grand Canyon National Park. There are different hypothesis when it comes to the creation of this canyon. The most popular says that it was a very long process who had commenced 17 millions years ago and the canyon was becoming deeper and deeper. There is also a completely different version which says that the canyon was formed in a few days. But the most important is that today we can see an impressive huge canyon in USA!

I think it's the most noteworthy place when it comes to these regions, both very dry and desert. I think it's a great place for those who are passionate about nature.

That all for day. See you next time :)

Hello again!

Hi!

I'm coming back after holidays. It was a good time for me, I've started working in a new place and I've been to Cyprus - I think one of the most beautiful place in the world. I haven't spent there a long time but it was enough to see the charm of that place. I can recommend Cyprus in 100 %. Accurately, I was in Limassol and the main reason why I went there with my family was my cousin's wedding which took place on a pier. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience. It was something completely different, different climate, different wedding, different place, different world. The dream world. I wish I was there one more time, maybe not exactly in Limassol because there are another places to see as well, just like Larnaca or Nicosia - I've described those places a few months ago so you can find that post and read about Cyprus :)

When it comes to my blog, I'm going to continue California's description and many other noteworthy places in America.

See you!

California

Hello everyone!

As I said last time, I'm going to describe my favourite states in North America. The best place for me is California - sunny and hot place by the ocean is a dream. In general, California is the most populous state in US. There are two the biggest cities - San Francisco and Los Angeles. Today I'll write a little about San Francisco. So, let's start!

Alcatraz

One of the most famous prisons in the world with a strict discipline. Since years it's one of the most popular touristic attractions. The prison was active between 1934 and 1963. Reportedly, it is said that  nobody escaped from there. Officially, it is said that 14 people escaped.

Golden Gate Bridge

It's a suspension bridge, one-mile-wide and one-point-seven-mile-long channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. It's very recognized symbol of San Francisco. It is said that it is "possibly the most beautiful, certainly the most photographed bridge in the world". It's very impressive for me, I would love to see that bridge.

Chinatown

The oldest Chinatown is in North America and the largest outside Asia. It's an enclave that reflect a chinese history and culture. There are two hospitals, parks, squares and many others.

That's all for today, I'll continue soon.

See you!

Different direction

Hello!

Lately I've realised that I'm writing a lot about Europe. I thought - it's time to change it. Of course, not forever, but now it's time to "go" somewhere else :) And I have a new idea - I'll write about America! South and North America are both beautiful and noteworthy. Especially, I would like to see California, but it's not the only one state which I'm going to describe. :) There's a lot of places which I would like to post here, particularly in North America. When it comes to South America, I've already written about Brazil. I think I've described all places in Europe which I like the most,I know that there is many other amazing countries, but I'm not able to describe every charming place. That's because the world is full of beauty, there are always some places to discover and explore. When I'm writing about different countries, it's also a motivation for me to learn more about the world, to find more amazing cities, mountains or bays and many, many others. I'm very happy about that I've chosen writing about travelling because it's a never-ending topic.
I hope it's also interesting for you, just a little bit :)
So, next time we're starting America's tour!

See you!

Croatia - part 3

Hello everyone!

What's up? Hope you're fine. Today I'll finish a Croatia's description. Hope it's interesting for you :) So, let's go!

Pula

We're back to Istria - on the South side. It's the biggest city on this island, a perfect place for mediaval Old Town lovers. in Pula you can see the most spectacular Roman monuments. Formerly, it was one of the most important metropolis by the Adriatic.
The amphitheatre has survived and today it's a third the best extant monument of its type. A huge building made of marble makes an enormous impression on tourists.

Split

Split is the second biggest city in Croatia. The biggest attraction in Split are ruins of a gigantic imperial palace. The decond noteworthy monument is a characteristic cathedral guerded by sphinx and lions.

Mljet

Mljet is an island situated between Dubrovnik and Korcula. It's one of the most green islands by the Adriatic. This island was announced a National Park.

Paklenica National Park

For most of tourists Croatia - it's just a sea and Dubrovnik. It's also a country with amazing mountains, maybe not very high, but very picturesque. Paklenica with two krast canyons is one of the best places like this which you can see in Croatia.
Velka Paklenica is 14km long and next is a shorter one - Mala Paklenica.
In this National Park we won't find a crowd of tourists. I think it's an advantage of this place, thanks to that it's more unique and worth to see.

Makarska

In the end, Makarska - situated by the sea. There is no Roman or medieval monuments, there is no Old Town. There is so much more tourists who just want to spend time at the beach and sunbathe.
There is the sea and the mountains (called Biokovo) in one place. A perfect place to sit under palm trees or take a walk and relax.

That's all about Croatia. I hope it will be interesting for you. Now I have to think about another place.

See you next time!

Croatia - part 2

Hi!

How are you? Today I'm coming back to my Croatia's description. So, let's cut to the chase!

Rovinj

Rovinj is a "Croatia's ruby", as some people say. We can see it especially bird's eye view - red tiles or Old Town. Rovinj is similar to famous Saint Tropez in some tourists' opinions. Undoubtedly, it's the most beautiful city on Istria's penisula, where's a lot of picturesque corners, especially looking at turquoise sea. In addition, Rovinj is a place full of interesting history. This city has an amazing climate and it's not a coincidence that it's a favourite artists' place.

Korcula

We can hear that Korcula is an island for those people who love adventures, as well wild beaches, delicious wines and bath in the sea. When it somec to beaches, we can meet with gravel instead of sand, what is not very pleasant for our skin. But we can stare at clean, amazingly turquoise and warm sea, and , of course, go swimming! :)
When it comes to adventure lovers, one thing is very interestung for them in Korcula - that's a place where Marco Polo was born.
For wine lovers, a lot of sophisticated wines are produced in Korcula. They have an excellent taste and beautiful colour.
For those tourists who love sighseeing there's also a lot to see :) A lot of monuments make this place a "small Dubrovnik".
I think it's a great place for everyone because of its variety, everyone will find something for himself! :)

That's all for now. I'll finish Croatia's decription soon.

See you!

Croatia

Hello everybody!

What's up? Hope you're fine.
This time I've prepared a description of a new country - Croatia! Sunny and beautiful place with a rocky coast with a thousand islands make it a sailor's paradise.

Dubrovnik

When you are in Croatia, you can't miss that place! The best view over Dubrovnik is from a Srd hill - it'll stuck in your mind, without any doubt. Some people think that it's the most wonderful view all over the world. The town is full of antiques temples and tenements, which are on UNESCO's World Heritage  List. The most impressive are defensive walls. Nowadays, Dubrovnik is a prominent symbol of Croatia.

Plitvice Lakes

The most characteristic "croissant" in Croatia, on the map, of course :) There's a National Park, 16 karst lakes connected with 90 waterfalls with heavenly turquoise water. In addition, there are picturesque mixted forests, especially breath-taking in autumn. I think it sounds magical. :)

Hvar Island

One of the most beautiful islands, the best one in Croatia and one of the best all over the world. A vivid plant life, vineyards, olive trees and a smell of lavender. There are some interesting towns with antiques churches and deleloped nightlife. Sounds like a real paradise!

That's all for today. To be continued.

See you!

Cyprus - part 3

Hello everybody!

How are you?
Today I'll finish my description of Cyprus. I fell in love with this place and I can't wait to see Cyprus in september!

Petra Tou Romiou

It's the region of Pafos whuch I've described last time. So beautiful scenery about this place was an inspiration for artists. There is a turquoise water and rocks off the coast. A famous attraction for tourists is Aphrodite's Rock, Greek goddess of love, known from Greek mythology.

Polis Beach

It's a calmer beach than the majority of them and so much less busy. It's a good place for water sports or walks at sunset time.

Limassol

It's a city on the southern coast of Cyprus. Limassol is also the second largest urban area in Cyprus. This city has many attractions for tourists, just like castles, museums, sculptures or gardens.
The medieval castle who was built by Byzantines was used as a prison in the past. Nowadays, it is a medieval museum with some exhibits, just like painting, cannons, statues or wood carvings.
There is also The Archeological Museum with a collection of antiquities. We can find there also coins, gold jewellery, sculptures, vases and many others.
Public Garden, which on the coastal road, has a lot of vegetation, just like cypresses, pine or eucalyptus trees. There is also a zoo with deers, lions, tigers, pelicans or birds. We can see also a natural history museum.
Limassol is famous of its festivals, for example Carnival or Wine Festival.

Medieval Castle

That's all about Cyprus from me. Hope it'll be interesting for you. :)

See you!

Cyprus - part 2

Hi!

What's up? Hope you're all right :)
Today's second part of my description of Cyprus. I chose this place because I'm going to go there in september and I'm so excited about that. So, let's explore the world! :)

Fig Tree Bay

One of the most beautiful. Crystal clean water, perfect fot diving lovers, as well families with children. Near to this beach there is an island with a stony coast, in contrast to the beach. It's near to the place called Protaras. Tourism is very well-developed, it's also a great place for water sports lovers.

Protaras

Governor's Beach

Governor's Beach is situated between Limassol and Larnaca. This place is famous of wonderful landscapes. There we can meet different animals on the beach. Tourism is well-developed, there are many restaurants. There we can also practice windsurfing, snorkel, swim with the boat and angle.

Pafos

The most characteristic for this place are the water animals - very rare green turtles.

That's all for now. I'll continue next time.

See you!
